In a major update for candidates nationwide, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released today, May 9.
This confirmation has sparked excitement and anticipation among over 1.9 million candidates who participated in the exam, which was conducted across various accredited centers in Nigeria between April 19 and April 29, 2025.
Speaking to the press on Thursday morning, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, assured candidates that the results have been thoroughly processed and verified to ensure accuracy and fairness. “We are pleased to announce that the 2025 UTME results will be available for checking today. Candidates are advised to use the official result-checking portal or the SMS option to access their scores,” he stated.
How to Check Your 2025 JAMB Result:
- Via Online Portal:
- Visit the JAMB e-facility portal: www.jamb.gov.ng
- Log in with your registered email address and password.
- Click on ‘Check UTME Result.’
- Your result will be displayed instantly.
- Via SMS:
- Simply send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
- Your result will be delivered as a text message.
Candidates are urged to be wary of fraudsters and avoid unofficial platforms or agents claiming to provide results or admission guarantees. JAMB reiterated that it does not charge any fee for checking results apart from the official SMS charge.
