About Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi (FUTIA)

The Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi is a federal government-owned university which is located in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

It was founded in 2021 driven by the federal government of Nigeria as one of the satellite higher institutions for the proposed National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Abuja. The National Institute of Technology is proposed to be a center for students drawn from all six satellite schools of the institute and beyond Nigeria who will contribute to technological research and innovations.

FUTIA General Admission Requirements

For you be considered for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA), you are advised to meet the following requirements:

  • Have a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits at not more than two (2) sittings in relevant subjects.
  • Have minimum JAMB score of 140 in the recent JAMB Exam.
  • Have a good score in the FUTIA post UTME Exam.
  • Have a merit pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other advanced level certificates (Direct Entry Candidates Only).
