BUK Suspends 2022/2023 First Semester Exams Due to NLC Strike – In the early evening of Tuesday, 14th of November, 2023, The Management of Bayero University Kano (BUK) Kano State made a press special bulletin release due to the action taken by the ASUU BUK Chapter in the early afternoon of Tuesday.

In a press release by the Ag. Registrar of Bayero University Kano in person of Amina Umar Abdullahi states that the current ongoing first-semester examination by the university has been suspended due to the announcement of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) strike.

The BUK Released Special Bulletin Reads Thus;

BUK Suspends 2022/2023 first semester exams

“Following the Nationwide strike embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) and subsequent decisions by the university Unions to join the strike, the management of Bayero University, Kano has decided to suspend the ongoing 2022/2023 First Semester undergraduate examinations and all other academic activities until further notice.

Meanwhile, all students are to remain calm and await further directives from the Management.

It should be noted that the ongoing examinations are halfway through and as soon as the strike is over, the examinations will continue.
