BUK SCE Part-Time Admission Form for 2022/2023 academic session is out – The management of Bayero University Kano (BUK) uses this medium to officially invite the general public mostly the qualified candidates including SSCE, UTME and Direct-Entry to apply for admission into Part-time degree programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Entry Requirements For The BUK SCE Part-Time Admission Programme

Below are the eligibility criteria in which applicants must meet up with in order to be considered qualify for admission:




UTME Candidates

Five credits in O’Level result and JAMB.      

Note: applicants that scored 180 in JAMB and applied for BUK SCE will be given priority during Admission.

Non-UTME Candidates

Five credits O’Level in relevant Subjects including English Language and not more than two sittings.


 1. Candidates that wish to apply for admission into Bsc. Accounting, Bsc. Business Administration, Bsc. Mathematics, Bsc. (Ed) Mathematics and Bsc. (Ed) Economics should have nothing less than Credits in their O’Level Mathematics.      

 2. Candidates that are holders of National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificates (NBAIS) are qualified to apply for BA. Arabic and BA. Islamic Studies.

Direct-Entry Admission Requirements For The BUK SCE PART-TIME Admission

Direct-Entry Applicants who wish to apply for admission into the Part-time programmes must make sure to meet the following requirements:

  • (a) Have a recognized A’Level certificate in the area relevant to the programme of his/her choice.  eg qualification(s) include(s)

(i) National Diploma (ND).

(ii) Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE),

(iii) Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) – (must have a minimum of 6 points or above).

(iv) Nursing Certificate.

(v) Diploma in Health Education.

(vi) Diploma in Community Health.

(vii) Diploma in Environmental Health.

(viii) General Certificate of Education (GCE).

(ix)‘A’ Level and any other relevant qualification(s).

  • (b) Have a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects with English being a compulsory one. Applicant must be at least 25 years old and above.
  • (c) Candidates who seeks for admission into B. Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Mathematics, B. Sc. (Ed) Mathematics and B. Sc. (Ed) Economics must also have credits in ‘O’ Level Mathematics.
  • (d)While candidates for B. Nursing Science and B. Sc. Health Education must have credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • (e) Holders of National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies Certificates (NBAIS) can only be allowed to apply for B. A. Arabic and B. A. Islamic Studies.
  • (f) Candidates applying for B. Sc. Public Administration should have credit in Government/History as an added Subject.

How To Apply For The BUK SCE Part-Time Admission Form 2023

If you are interested in applying for the BUK SCE Part-Time Admission Form but you’re yet to do so simply because you don’t know how or the process to follow and apply. Here are steps you should take

  • Step – 1 : Candidates should visit the JAMB Online Application portal for UTME/Part-Time Degree Programme, choose BUK, Fill the form, then make a payment of Three Thousand Five Hundred Naira only (N3,500.00) to JAMB starting from Monday 2nd January, 2023.
  • Step – 2 : Visit the BUK portal at – www.buk.edu.ng with effect from Monday 2nd January 2023 and Click on the Part-time Application Form which you will see in BUK Portal’s Homepage. Make sure you enter the correct Program details.
  • Step – 3 : You should create an account at the BUK Portal. Your Username and Password will be given to you instantly.
  • Step – 4 : After you login, fill in all the important spaces provided on the BUK Application Portal.
  • Step – 5 Generate your BUKPPF. The invoice is to be printed and taken to any Bank to make a payment of Processing Fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only. Make sure you read the Payment Procedure carefully at the Payment Procedure Page to avoid quality mistakes.
  • Step – 6 : Go through your form once again in order to ensure accuracy of all information you have provided.
  • Step – 7 : Don’t forget to enter your JAMB Registration Number before printing the acknowledgement slip.
  • Step – 8 : After completion, generate your Acknowledgement Slip. Print the Slip and Download it to your phone or desktop.

Note: Payment at Bank branches will start from Tuesday 10th January, 2023 and closes ­­­­­­­­­Thursday 28th February, 2023.
